SCAS Hosts the Vice-Chancellor's Annual Luncheon for the 'Friends of Uppsala University'

On Wednesday, 20 March, SCAS hosted the annual luncheon of the Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala
University, Eva Åkesson, for the members of the Friends of Uppsala University society. In addition
to an introduction to the Swedish Collegium, the gathering also included a session where the partici-
pants learnt about recent news and developments of the university as well as enjoyed presentations
on topical issues by researchers representing the university's three different disciplinary domains.

The objective of the Friends of Uppsala University Foundation is to ”actively contribute to one or more
particular projects, or portions thereof, which benefit the University and its activities”. A membership
may entitle to e.g. invitations to special events, such as meetings with the Vice-Chancellor.
